As seen on Over The Moon

The bride at this dreamy springtime Santa Barbara Courthouse wedding is also a wedding planner and designer, which meant every well-executed detail was thoughtfully considered and beautifully styled. Erika Bellitt, founder of Array Creative Design, wed her love, Mitchell, in front of their closest family and friends after a three-year engagement.
With a trained eye and a deep appreciation for intentional design, Erika approached the planning process with both creativity and care. She balanced polished aesthetics with a sense of ease and authenticity. The couple took their time crafting a celebration that felt true to them, prioritizing meaningful moments. Above all, Erika and Mitch envisioned a festive occasion, one centered on connection, joy, and togetherness, especially after so much time apart during the pandemic.
The Santa Barbara Courthouse setting provided a timeless backdrop, allowing Erika and Mitchell’s love story and the emotion of the day to take center stage. From the carefully-chosen attire to the flow of events, every element reflected the couple’s desire to create a celebration that felt personal, warm, and genuinely celebratory.
The Design
Erika partnered with Rachael of Siren Floral Co. to curate a stunning springtime palette of lilac, chartreuse, and basil green. These fresh, unexpected hues felt both modern and seasonally appropriate. The dimensional letterpress invitation suite by Swell Press, accented with pops of bright green, offered a perfect introduction to the thoughtful event design awaiting guests at the couple’s Santa Barbara Courthouse reception.
At the reception, linens from Monique Lhuillier and Stradley Davidson set a chic, understated foundation for the tablescapes. Thoughtfully-curated tableware from Catalog Atelier, Theoni, and Table Method added depth and contrast, blending sculptural forms with timeless silhouettes. Together, these carefully selected elements created a cohesive design story that felt elevated, intentional, and beautifully balanced.
The perfect Santa Barbara Courthouse wedding
The unusually rainy weather in California let up for the weekend to give Mitch and Erika the most beautiful, sunny day. Guests enjoyed cocktails and an alfresco three-course meal by the amazing Field To Table in the Sunken Gardens on the courthouse grounds. (Dinner included one of my absolute FAVORITES, zuppa toscana, which was included on the menu at my own wedding, also catered by Field To Table).
This couple’s dreamy Santa Barbara Courthouse wedding is an all-time favorite!
