As seen on Style Me Pretty
–
Bree and Blake’s stunning Sunstone Villa wedding was a classic spring affair, hosted in late May in Santa Ynez. Set on a sprawling estate, Sunstone Villa (along with Sunstone Winery, located on the same property) offers a lavish, Tuscan-inspired backdrop that feels both transportive and timeless.
Built from reclaimed limestone sourced from the South of France (so cool!), Sunstone Villa features arched doorways and European textures that give the space a sense of old-world elegance. Rows of vineyards surround the property, while olive trees and manicured gardens set a romantic background for both the ceremony and reception. The villa’s expansive courtyards allow a wedding celebration to flow seamlessly from one space to the next, making it an ideal setting for an event that feels elevated yet relaxed. It’s a venue perfectly suited for Bree and Blake’s spring celebration in Santa Ynez wine country.
Guest experience
The couple wanted to spoil their guests for the full weekend among the mountains of Santa Barbara County wine country. Bree and Blake’s goal was to cultivate an experience that felt both celebratory and deeply personal. Just north of Santa Barbara, the Sunstone Villa estate offers several guest suites, allowing Bree and Blake’s parents and siblings to stay onsite and fully immerse themselves in the weekend’s events. Field To Table was on hand all weekend, serving thoughtfully-prepared meals that highlighted fresh, seasonal ingredients (chef Tracy is so good at this!), along with indulgent late-night snacks that kept the celebration going. Behind the scenes, Claire of Grit & Grace Events ensured every detail was flawlessly executed. She created a seamless flow from the welcome reception to farewell brunch, allowing the couple to relax and savor every moment with their guests.
Design + fashion
Bree and Blake’s ceremony and reception were designed with the loveliest pops of pastel. The soft color palette created a setting that felt fresh, intentional, and quietly romantic. They described their wedding style as “romantic coastal chic,” and they thoughtfully infused this theme in every detail. Soft blue accents appeared throughout the invitation suite and were echoed in the bridesmaids’ dresses, tying the paper goods and fashion together seamlessly. Blake donned a classic black tuxedo, a timeless counterpoint to Bree’s Chosen by KYHA gown. Her wedding dress was complemented by pearl accessories and a ruched tulle wrap that added dimension and depth (so much gorgeous texture!). Colorful florals, airy tablescapes, and the organically light-filled spaces of Sunstone Villa completed the look.
It was a joyful spring celebration defined by ease and warmth. The prettiest details alongside loving family and friends were only emphasized by the sweet bride and groom, whose excitement set the tone for the entire day!
