As seen on Over The Moon

Gabrielle and Tim met during their undergraduate studies at University of California Santa Barbara, so hosting their wedding festivities in Santa Barbara just made sense! Tim even proposed to Gabrielle in Santa Barbara after seven years of dating; when it came to choosing their wedding venue, it was a pretty easy decision.
The weekend
The couple kicked off their long weekend celebration with a traditional Chinese tea ceremony to honor the groom’s parents (and Tim wore a traditional Filipino barong as a nod to Gabrielle’s family). They followed this intimate family celebration with a rehearsal dinner at The Lark and welcome reception at Pearl Social in Santa Barbara’s Funk Zone.
Wild Heart Events designed and executed the wedding day at the always-beautiful Santa Barbara Historical Museum. I was so excited to capture the couple’s weekend with Santa Barbara wedding photography!
The fashion
Gabrielle wore Freesia, the most stunning Monique Lhuillier gown, complemented by Pelino bridal heels. She also added gold bird hair clips by Epona to her look, honoring the memory of her mother, who passed away while Gabrielle was still in college. Tim donned a custom tuxedo by Suit Supply and velvet loafers.
For the pre-wedding events, Gabrielle’s cheongsam for the tea ceremony was from East Meets Dress; she paired it with black Vince Camuto heels and her mother’s jade necklace and gold bracelet and earrings. At the rehearsal dinner and welcome reception in the Funk Zone, she donned Kamperett’s Barre silk dress, Cult Gaia earrings, Jeffrey Campbell heels, and a JW Pei moon bag.
The team
The bride carried a colorful bouquet of dahlias, garden roses, cosmos, clematis, and zinnias by Wild Muse Floral.
Downbeat Agency kept the custom pastel seafoam RCD dance floor packed all night long at this summery garden soiree. The entire team is so thrilled to see Gabrielle and Tim’s weekend-long celebration featured on modern, chic wedding blog Over The Moon, curated by Vogue editor Alexandra Macon.
