Meghan and Stephen celebrated their love with a Rosewood Miramar Beach wedding in June, and it was classic, elegant perfection.
A ceremony at Old Mission Santa Barbara
Their day began with a traditional ceremony at the historic Santa Barbara Mission, an iconic landmark often called the “Queen of the Missions.” Founded in 1786 by Spanish Franciscans, the mission is renowned for its stunning adobe architecture. It also boasts beautifully-landscaped interior gardens, where just-married couples can take portraits for a few minutes right after their ceremony.
The Mission offers a breathtaking setting for couples seeking a meaningful, sacred ceremony steeped in history and beauty. Its rich history as part of California’s chain of 21 missions adds a deep sense of tradition and spirituality to wedding ceremonies held inside.
Weddings at Old Mission Santa Barbara are coordinated directly through the mission office. The chapel is a working parish, so scheduling a ceremony involves contacting the mission well in advance to secure the date.
Off to their Rosewood Miramar Beach wedding reception
After exchanging vows, Meghan and Stephen boarded the charming Santa Barbara Trolley with their wedding party and families, heading to the Rosewood Miramar Beach resort in nearby Montecito to continue the celebration. The resort’s coastal elegance and exceptional service made it the perfect backdrop for the reception.
Rosewood Miramar Beach is a luxury oceanfront resort set on 12 acres of pristine coastline, offering modern sophistication alongside classic California charm. The resort features beautifully-appointed rooms; some of the suites have views of the Pacific, private terraces, and access to the beach.
The property’s lush lawn was a picturesque space for Meghan and Stephen’s cocktail hour. Guests then transitioned to the dramatic ballroom, decorated with white floral arrangements. The black-tie dress code added to the refined ambiance and perfectly complemented the beauty of the resort.
From the first toast to the last dance, every detail was meticulously planned by KB Events. Katie and Adam creating seamless transitions from the historic mission, to cocktail hour on the lawn, to the glamorous dinner reception in the ballroom.
Meghan and Stephen’s Rosewood Miramar Beach wedding was the perfect blend of tradition and coastal luxury.
