Hilton Santa Barbara Beachfront Resort wedding

As seen on Martha Stewart Weddings

Justin and Jason decided on a Hilton Santa Barbara Beachfront Resort wedding for its ceremony courtyard and their guests’ ability to enjoy both mountain and ocean views from cocktail hour. Since most of their friends and family had to travel, the couple wanted to make sure their wedding could double as a vacation for their loved ones.

A modern love story

Justin and Jason first met on Coffee Meets Bagel in 2016; they messaged almost daily for three months while Justin studied for the bar exam. When they finally went on their first date, they had an instant spark and spoke for hours. J+J now make it a point to go back to the same restaurant in Koreatown in Los Angeles once a year on the anniversary of their first date!

The couple also gave a nod to the app where they first met with a fun food display at the reception. A wall of bagels with a coffee bar declared, “Jason loves coffee and Justin loves bagels. No wonder we met on Coffee Meets Bagel!”

One of Jason’s favorite memories from the day? “My parents called Justin ‘son’ for the very first time during the traditional Chinese tea ceremony. This was a huge gesture and very emotional for me.”

Thank you, Jason, for such sweet feedback about working with me!

“Emily’s talent is unreal and my husband and I are so happy she and her team was part of our special day, the start of our forever love story. She was so easy to work with and her team made all of us feel so comfortable. For the friends who are sometimes awkward in pictures, Emily really gave direction. She really heard us and got it! No surprise that our pictures turned out amazing and were even featured on Martha Stewart, thanks to Emily and her talent and connections.

We are beyond happy! Her positive energy and friendliness made our day even more special. Emily isn’t just our photographer, but a friend. Thank you so much for capturing the memories so beautifully.

Meet EMILY

As your wedding photographer, my specialty is capturing effortless images without pulling you away from the moments that actually matter (the giddiness, happy tears, tiny details, and everything in between).

My approach is all about keeping you present, relaxed, and feeling like your very best self while I document your day from start to finish. If you want a photography experience that feels seamless, personal, and genuinely joyful, let’s create something unforgettable together.

I’m here for the big feelings and the dance floor chaos.
