Katherine and Scott’s Dos Pueblos Orchid Farm wedding brought the berry-hued summertime magic! With Wild Heart Events at the helm and Siren Floral Co. bringing ALL the colorful blooms, this greenhouse wedding was so very memorable.
Back to where they first met
The couple first met while studying abroad during a college semester in Prague, which is also where Scott chose to propose years later! The Czech city, with its charming cobblestone streets, stunning Gothic architecture, and romantic river views, quickly became a special place for them. Their shared adventures exploring historic landmarks and hidden corners of Prague helped deepen their bond.
When Scott planned his proposal, it felt only natural to return to the city where their story began. Surrounded by the same magical atmosphere that first brought them together, he popped the question and thus created a new unforgettable memory in a place full of meaning for them both.
The couple’s Dos Pueblos Orchid Farm wedding
Katherine, whose family is originally from Santa Barbara, knew they’d want to come to California for their wedding day (the couple lives in Chicago). The ocean views from the bluff at Dos Pueblos Orchid Farm really won them over (I’ll admit, it’s a pretty unbeatable view!). Dos Pueblos was the perfect setting to welcome their loved ones to the west coast.
When it came to inspiration for their summertime reception, the couple aimed for elevated garden party vibes. Summery stone fruits were the starting point for the mauve, dusty pink, deep red, and raspberry color palette, and the talented Rachael of Siren Floral Co. used varieties of garden roses, berries, and vibrant dahlias to bring color to the ceremony and reception spaces.
Even in the warm August sunshine, the greenhouse was a spectacular backdrop for dinner. Feast and Fest served family-style entrees and side dishes. Katherine and Scott cut into a cake from Enjoy Cupcakes, while guests also enjoyed refreshing ice cream desserts by The Wild Posy by Wild Heart Events.
It was such a joy to work with this incredible bride and groom, stellar vendor team, and plentiful variety of gorgeous design details. Check out all the pretty below!
