Stephanie and Ethan hosted a festive summer soiree for their Greengate Ranch wedding in San Luis Obispo. Designed by Jaime of Wild Heart Events, their unforgettable celebration showcased an array of playful reception details fused with modern, timeless fashion choices and a stunning ceremony backdrop.
Greengate Ranch is one of the California coast’s most sought-after private estate wedding venues (and with good reason; it is absolutely one of my favorites). Tucked into the rolling hills just south of San Luis Obispo, the property offers a full weekend experience that feels both refined and blissfully relaxing.
A weekend-long Greengate Ranch wedding
When a couple books Greengate Ranch, they gain exclusive access to the entire estate for the weekend. This includes luxury accommodations for up to 20 guests, a pool and hot tub area, manicured lawns, and multiple options for outdoor or indoor ceremony and reception locations. From welcome parties to farewell brunches, the space is designed for hosting meaningful events across multiple days, not just one evening. It’s so fun and such an ideal model for the ranch to be all yours for the entire weekend!
Stephi and Ethan fully leaned into that experience, surrounding themselves with their favorite people for a weekend filled with great food, thoughtful details, and nonstop celebration. Guests arrived to warm hospitality and settled into the relaxed rhythm of ranch life before gathering for the main event.
Ceremony by the pond, dinner at the barn
The couple’s ceremony took place on the lawn in front of the venue’s iconic pond, framed by sweeping hills and golden California light. Stephanie’s brother Zach from Try Guys officiated the heartfelt ceremony in this idyllic setting that felt both intimate and epic all at once.
The reception was pure joy, with an alfresco dinner decorated with prettiest pastel pops of summer color. Guests moved inside the barn to a dance floor under a canopy of disco balls created by Bella Vista Designs. Dart Collective‘s live band kept the energy high all night long.
Stephi and Ethan didn’t just host a wedding. They created a full experience for their loved ones, and Greengate Ranch provided the perfect backdrop for a celebration that was joyful and stylish.
